What's happening?

The first of Birmingham's Summer of Rescue events took place on 13 May 2022 at Sutton Coldfield Community Fire Station as part of our celebration to creation of our third Technical Rescue Unit at the station. We were delighted to have over 2,000 members of the public joined us and saw live demonstrations of rope rescue as well as learning more about the important role of our Technical Rescue Unit. Find out more about that event and see pictures in the news section below.

Our second Birmingham Summer of Rescue event took place at Star City on 12 August 2022. Families were able to see our firefighters demonstrating their skills up close, as well as hearing from partners, enjoying children's rides and, or course, having the opportunity to sit in one of our fire engines!

Of course, Birmingham will also play host to our main UKRO Festival of Rescue Event, so make sure you check out our Festival of Rescue and Staying in Birmingham pages for more information.
