In a video address, Mark Baxter, Chief Fire Officer of Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue Service thanked West Midlands Fire Service and the United Kingdom Rescue Organisation for hosting UKRO Festival of Rescue 2022 and outlined his vision for the festival as it's handed over to their service for the festival to be held next year.

The festival in 2023 will take place in the historic city of Lincoln. This will be the second time that Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue have hosted the prestigious UKRO event, having been the hosts for the 2012 national challenges where the water rescue challenge was introduced for the first time.
