Babcock International confirmed as UKRO 2022 Ambassadors
Defence company Babcock International has been confirmed as a lead sponsor for the United Kingdom Rescue Organisation (UKRO) Festival of Rescue 2022.
Helping customers around the world by supporting and enhancing critical assets and increasing availability, affordability and capability, Babcock is proud to support the fire and rescue sector and to work with emergency services throughout the UK and internationally.
Sam Burton, UKRO Project Executive, said “We’re really pleased to have Babcock as one of our lead partners for UKRO 2022. As well as being an opportunity for friendly competition, the festival is focused on improving the skills and knowledge of rescue professionals. Babcock, with their expertise in emergency services training and development, is well suited as a lead supporter.
“We’ve very grateful for their backing as the Festival of Rescue would not be possible without their contribution. We’re looking forward to working with them to deliver an interactive and immersive event for all participants.”
Chris Spicer, Assets Managing Director at Babcock, said: “We are pleased to support the UKRO Festival of Rescue which continues our long-standing support of emergency services and resilience organisations.
“With our West Midlands production facility, we are particularly proud that the festival is being hosted in Birmingham this year and delighted to partner with the West Midlands Fire Service to help deliver the event and to showcase how technology and expertise from the defence industry can be deployed in fire and rescue services.”
